Guys,

I have a question.

Does anyone have a C & R FFL?

I have been studying the subjuect on the internet and it looks like a good deal for $30. Allows one to buy C & R guns and they be shipped directly to you.

I was curious if any of y'all had one and if there are any down sides to it.

Thanks,

Surgdog

You also get a great discount from Brownell's!
Another benefit: you do not have to turn in your bound book if you let the license expire. You can destroy it. Wait a while and re-apply for a C&R...my last one went up in the bonfire... ;) that was September and I will re-apply this month.
Also: under BATFE's own regulations, if they want to do an audit of your license/bound book/collection, they must (a) schedule it with you at your premises or (b) at your request, do the audit at the BATFE office most convenient to you. You bring in your book and anything they want to see from your collection, don't have to allow the BATFE into your home.

One question I have for those of you that have one. Is the portion that is sent to the chief law enforcement officer just a formality or can it be a problem?

I am going to send mine to the sheriff in Hinds county. Has anyone ever been turned down?
