Got to wonder where it was stored to get tarnished like that. If it shoots ok though who can complain? I've bought some ammo that's looked that way, shot it up, it ran fine, no problem.

Gene,
What is the day lot number and the product? The day lot will be on the end flap that tucks into the box and will look like A12B345.
What you are seeing is spotting caused by residues that did not get fully rinsed from the cleaning process of the case. These residues will react to the heat and humidity of stored ammo. This is an issue we have made improvements on.
We have tested thousands of rounds of this ammo that has these spots and not had any issues in function in the firearm. The issue is a cosmetic issue only and does not damage the firearm or the ammo. It looks bad.
If you would like a replacement of the ammo let me know. To do so, I’ll need from you a physical address and a phone number. Also how many boxes of this do you have?
I would like to not the day lot and the product in our records though. So if you could get this to me it would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Good on them.I got a nice reply from Duane at Blazer Tech Support. He would like to know the Day Lot number for any of their ammo that has this cosmetic issue, so if you're inclined send that along to him:
Most likely.I suspect it was stored in a place that had high humidity for some period of time.
This lot was made in 2016 according to the Blazer tech, so probably sat in some distributors warehouse for about 6 years. Most likely.
Probably so. But like I said, if it shoots, who cares right? This lot was made in 2016 according to the Blazer tech, so probably sat in some distributors warehouse for about 6 years.
True. I've been spoiled by nice shiny brass.Probably so. But like I said, if it shoots, who cares right?
Makes you wonder how it made it thru the shortage . Maybe it was hidden in a corner. This lot was made in 2016 according to the Blazer tech, so probably sat in some distributors warehouse for about 6 years.
Maybe. But most of the new kids don't shoot .45acp, so not as much demand for it as 9mm, .38, 380, etc. which means lower inventory turnover. Other than old guys and some SF military, .45 isn't real popular comparatively speaking.Makes you wonder how it made it thru the shortage . Maybe it was hidden in a corner.
Too bad for those that don't shoot it; I like shooting 45Maybe. But most of the new kids don't shoot .45acp, so not as much demand for it as 9mm, .38, 380, etc. which means lower inventory turnover. Other than old guys and some SF military, .45 isn't real popular comparatively speaking.
It may warm your heart to know that I see a lot of younger guys, those just turning 21 and in their early 20's eyeing 1911's often and have the plan to buy one. Don't know if that's influence from older family members or what, but many seem to appreciate the design, feel, and function of a 1911 in specific. Others want a more modern .45 like the Glocks but see more 1911's go out the door than anything else in .45 ACP.Maybe.
