Looks like a 67A, but the trigger guard looks like it's been replaced with one from another gun. never seen one with one like that.

I think it is a Marlin Model 10 .22 rf single shot rifle. Marlin used to make rifles and shotguns for companies like Sears and Western Auto, so it may not have the Marlin brand on it. The heavy trigger guard is typical of the Marlin.

Well a friend of my sister wants to sell it and a shotgun to me. It has rust probably would need blue. I don't know what it would be worth or if I should even bother with them

The last one I saw on Gunbroker.com was in pretty rough shape and I think it topped out at around $60. How bad was the rust? Did you look at the bore or try to shoot it to make sure it was still operational? The reason I want one is because I bought a new one from Sears back in 1961 and loved it. That one was stolen out of my truck around 1972, I guess I want one for "old times sake"
I fyou decide to buy it I would be interested to see it with as possible purchase from you in mind, Thanks

Knew the model at first glance. She'll eat .22SLLR but probably like the shorts best...go with CCI. Last ones built in 1959. These guns in the 100 version (not many changes) were built by Marlin beginning in the '40s and built by Marlin for the J. C. Higgins name for several years. Mine has been to the range 3 times this past year and will go back soon. Your trigger-guard appears to be from the 100. Mine has the heavy 'plastic' with the bright aluminum trigger.
