Can I use AR15 .223 mags for 6.8 SPC? I have heard yes and no.

6.8 requires dedicated mags, you can get a few into a metal 30rnd 223 mag tho! I don't think the 120grn SST will fit into a magpul mag because of the thickness of the polymer!
The PRI mags are overpriced! I'd get the ASC/CPD (I believe are the same CO) and any problems they will fix the mag! the 6.8 forum is packed with great info about new products and parts! Here are the mags I got after I tried the PRI. MAG ASC AR6.8 25RD STS BLK

True but the lower is also dedicated 6.8. A standard lower won't accept a magpul 6.8 mag! Magpul said it would be to thin to accept the round in a polymer in a standard lower! I wish tho!

What 1010 said. They are LWRC 68 lower specific. They built a million dollar lower and magpul made a mag for it. Would be nice but damn they are sky high. $$$$

LWRC made the Six8 UCIW/PDW for the Jordanian's for their Secret Service type of folks.
It was a joint effort between LWRC for the Rifle, Magpul for the magazines, and Federal for the XM68GD 90grain gold dot. The magpul 6.8s will ONLY fit the LWRC lowers. So your answer is Yes, you do need 6.8 specific magazines unless you are goin to single feed it.
Ive got some old C-Product Mags that have been flawless. New C-Product Defense mags can be picky. ASC have been good ones.

Unless magpul has changed up their 68 mag recently they didn't make a 68 mag for a standard lower!
I even asked them about it and magpul replied it would make the mag very thin and unreliable! But did offer it in a dedicated 68 lower that has the larger mag well!

Some people were selling the 5.56 Pmags as 6.8s and screwed alot of folks. Does your pmag have a 5.56 follower?
