Another story with a happy ending that you will not see on CNN:

    ------------------------------------------------

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A man tried to rob a bartender at Capitol Grill in Jackson, but customers took action.

The incident happened around 6:30 Tuesday evening. Witnesses say a man walked into the restaurant and started asking customers for money.

"He was walking out the door and the waitress had her cash drawer, and she was going to lock her cash drawer up and this guy came walking out the door and he snagged it, it was a crime of opportunity," one witness, who identified himself as Monk said.

The male suspect didn't get too far. In an effort to protect herself, the bartender pulled a knife on the man and other people inside came to assist.

"I saw a guy in a suit point a gun at someone and it just looked like they were protecting them self basically," Gabrien Maxwell, another witness explained.

Someone called 911 and within minutes officers were on scene.

"Good guys with guns, they ran out there and drew down on the dude and contained the situation and it was a done deal," Monk said.

Police arrested the man and a woman driver and found drug paraphernalia inside a Red Honda with Kentucky plates. Regulars at Capitol Grill are thankful the situation wasn't worse.

"The good guys won but the bad guys lost. Thank God it had a happy ending," said Monk.

Amateur hour for criminals from rural KY? Guess the word about the Jackson metro area ain't reached to KY yet? Good thing they didn't try Memphis, not so upstanding Memphibians would probably have had their kidneys harvested, blood drained and bagged up, and in a Yeti cooler before they dumped the bodies in a motel parking lot.

I know this is probably not as comprehensive a study as would be needed to instill confidence to place big money on, but it does give some hard data. My experience is that many career criminals identify with the party of "free." Sort of makes sense, as getting free stuff is their career objective. One could argue the cause and effect of race, poverty, etc., but if I just had to place a bet on every criminal, I feel like I would be taking money home, of course I'm not a researcher even though I play one on a message board!

He demonstrated that he was a socialist, although it be of the freelance variety, by his actions. Socialist in this country are commonly known as democrats. I'd say he's more honest than the ones that just sit at home and let the government steal the money for them.
