Recognizing concealed carry permits across state lines

sixtyminutes - USCCA

I know that Tim Schmidt from USCCA and Congressman Richard Hudson will be a part of the segment, and I expect the anti-gunners from NY/NYC/NJ/Gabby Giffords/Brady Campaign will have their say too.

Disclaimer: I may have USCCA liability coverage ...

JMO, but as it is CBS, it just may not be "fair and balanced" coverage of the issue.

Just what I'd expect, a half lie filled hit piece that comes
from what has long been a second Communist News
Network, Ted Turner must have a lot of CBS stock.
The entire thing made it obvious that the 2nd A is
a mere scribble on old parchment to the likes of
Gifford and the elite that run the networks and as
such utterly eligible to be ignored completely when
they wish. A pox on all of them!!!:groan:

I also watched it last night, yes it had a left spin to it, sometimes I think it would be ok with me the "snowflake" cities not having guns, they voted those pieces of s### into office, so now live with it, run and get in your "safe place", at least in Chicago, Jackson, Memphis etc. its Hood Rats killing Hood Rats, which I am ok with.

Didn't watch it, but from the comments here the take away seems to be that I didn't need to. ;) Apparently the same old arguments on the show about it that we've all heard before. And nobody on either side is going to change their mind, so what's the point of even airing the show?

For them to indoctrinate the youth approaching voting age (who probably don't watch it anyway).

Watched the lie in the first few sentences. Mississippi does not allow 18 year olds to carry concealed.
Actually they can (>18 -- <21)... if they are members or veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces including the National Guard or Reserve and hold a valid Mississippi drivers license or Mississippi DPS identification card.

I think that caveat is what gives some other states a reason/excuse not to recognize/reciprocate Mississippi's CCW permit ... as if "21" is some magic age.

Bet those other states have no problem with a 18 year serving his country or dying for his country.

Bearing Arms takes on NYC Police Commissioner over recent 60 Minutes piece on national reciprocity:

NYC Police Commissioner Freaking Over Potential Of National Reciprocity

"(NYC/NYPD PC James) O’Neill is deluding himself.

He doesn’t have a good idea who is carrying anything. He knows who is legally carrying, at most.

However, violence happens in NYC all the time, and I promise you that almost all of those crimes committed by someone carrying a gun are cases when the NYPD is clueless about the criminal having a firearm. That’s just how it works, and only an absolute fool would argue that they have a handle on who is carrying and who isn’t.

Criminals have never registered their guns. They don’t apply for permits, as a general rule either.

Instead, they buy illegal guns, carry them anywhere they can get away with it–which is pretty much everywhere–and use them with impunity because they know their victims are unarmed. They know they exist in what amounts to a free fire zone for them. They’re lions that have been dropped into the gazelle cage at the zoo.

And the NYPD is clueless as to where they are."
