Would think they'd be better served going that route as opposed to supersonic ammo.Maybe they will make some subsonic rounds as well.
Why? Just curious as to the thought.Would think they'd be better served going that route as opposed to supersonic ammo.
I really only use my 8.5 BO for a range toy with a suppressor so cheap subsonic Ammo would just add to the fun. Why? Just curious as to the thought.
I’ve ran very few subs through any of mine, then again being who I am,what I like and what I load.....very little need for subsonic ammo.
My whole desires have been heaviest projo running as fast as I can get it. So.....I’m on the other side of the fence from you lolI really only use my 8.5 BO for a range toy with a suppressor so cheap subsonic Ammo would just add to the fun.
Cause the main reason for the caliber is to run it subsonically (if not a word it should be). Or that's my opinion of it. If want to blast with it then it's cheaper to just use 223/556 or an AK with 7.62x39. Yeah folks may prefer it to 30-30 or 308 to hunt with, but won't be needing a lot of plinking ammo like this to be blasting away with their bolt action. Why? Just curious as to the thought.

Dang hope you remembered to breathe while typing all that lolCause the main reason for the caliber is to run it subsonically (if not a word it should be). Or that's my opinion of it. I'd bet you a dollar if they were to release supers and subs at the same time the subs would stay out of stock longer than the supers.
The problem will be correct cycling function in off the shelf ARs with factory sub sonics. Folks will bash them if their gun doesn't run with the ammo with no modifications to their rifle. When all may be needed is a different buffer or spring, not necessarily an adjustable GB.
I've also read/seen where the ammo does not like regular 223/556 PMAGs, and to use the dedicated 300bo PMAGs. I modified all my old school straight 20 round PMAGs to work with all my reloads so I'm curious if the wolf will function in them.
I won't be buying much if any of it anyway as I can still load supers and subs much cheaper, plus I don't shoot much of it, though I may shoot more with more readily available plinking ammo.
Ha yeah didn't realize as long, had a break at work lol.Dang hope you remembered to breathe while typing all that lol
I’m asking questions because I want to know what others think about that I look at that and I see cheap plinker rounds......something appealing to me tho I already load.
Also.....while the main reason for the round development may have been as a subsonic round eater, there are areas where it’s decent at supers. The tunnel vision folks have on the round is astounding. Usually the same folks complaining about ballistics while comparing it to a volumetrically larger round.
I also say.....it ain’t a 30-30 and will never send a pill (not weight wise till 180gn)down range as fast......least not while I’m hand loading them. That whole comparison between the two....imo...is dumb.
Edit....the mags,yeah 20rds in a 30rd pmag is about the reliable limit. I use 10s and 20s.....GTG
I’m sure someone can mash in 29 and say I’m wrong tho lol
Yeah I’ve busted a few hogs in the woods and behind my moms house with the lead 230gn (my cast/Lee mold) running 1400fps and it knocked them down. They were moving around but not running off. I don’t know how much more you can expect from it. I’d have to look through my computer at the house but I’ve got the heavier pills running pretty heathy speeds compared to the published loading data and internet “facts”.Ha yeah didn't realize as long, had a break at work lol.
Completely agree on heavies going fast. So that would be realistically just for hunting? Then I'd say why not just bump up to either 7.62 x 39 or 51?
But I guess in the ar platform it's easier to keep all but one thing the same as 223/556 to get in the 30 cal game.
Either way I'm stoked they're offering a good cheap competition to the market, hopefully will decrease the price of all the other ammo that I'd be more inclined to buy.
