I have a new walnut stock from Numrich's that I got for my Marlin 781 that I'd like to strip & refinish with Tru-oil.
I got can of chemical stripper from Lowes that is supposed to remove paint, epoxy, etc from wood, masonry etc.
Is this safe to use on this rifle stock to remove the factory stain? I'd like to be able to do this project with as little or no sanding at all if possible.
Any advice or insight from someone who has done this is appreciated.
