68 yo guy gets beat and robbed by 11(or so) "teens" on the subway. Shoulda had a gun with high capacity mag, and couple extras. The cops ain't doin' it.

When are people gonna learn that this kind of *&^* ain't gonna stop until we start defending ourselves properly.:badass:

This ain't just for soldiers:

Lord, make me fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who wish to harm me and mine.
Let not my last thought be “If only I had my gun”.
and Lord, if today is truly the day you are to call me home,
Let me die in a pile of empty brass.

EXCLUSIVE: Chicago subway video captures man being attacked by 11 teens

CHICAGO -- The brutal beating of a 68-year-old man by 11 teens on a passenger train here Monday was captured in a disturbing, graphic video obtained by Fox News.

The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate.

When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."

The footage shows one of the female teens first trying to pickpocket the victim while he’s asleep. The man awakens, tries to fend off the teens, but the woman drags and beats the man.

Amen … But. It's. Chicago. And the CTA train police were … ? Nowhere to be found.

Chicago needs a 'Paul Kersey' type to ride the trains and clean up the trash.

No puny revolver-carrying architects need apply! [There were 11 of them, after all.]

Just so you know if the thugs injury you to the point you cannot identify them, Cook County State's Attorney's Office don't care about video or other evidence.

[Edit] Also the Fox Article linked a bunch of what I would call anti-gun "gun violence" articles.

The video would not play for me at first. I am not sure if the video is intentionally blurred or just poor quality. Not much chance of identifying them by the video. I did find this clip I was able to watch on YouTube.
or if those don't play try here

My wife had a relative get married in Chicago about 10 years ago. Her whole family got up plans to attend. I told her, "I ain't going."

She couldn't believe that I was not going. I told her that I was not going to Chicago because it was dangerous. She scoffed.

But while she was there, the locals warned her and the rest of her out of town family, "DO NOT GET ON THE RED LINE SUBWAY. IT GOES INTO THE HOOD. THE BLACKS WILL ROB, RAPE, AND KILL YOU."

There were also blocks of the city near the wedding that were off-limits (dangerous). She and a few other women accidentally got into the fringe of one of those areas briefly while shopping. and they quickly back-tracked.

But, hey, all members of the wedding party survived; so I was chicken not to go (in her opinion).

Another update to this story:

SWAT officers to start riding CTA trains amid spike in crime

CHICAGO - Chicago police SWAT team officers will start patrolling CTA trains to get a handle on rising mass transit violence, interim Police Supt. Charlie Beck announced Friday.
...
The announcement comes after a recent wave of crime at CTA stations.
...

^^^ doesn't sound like a very efficient or economical use of SWAT officers to me. JMO. Not a LEO.

Don't know where the CTA Police are … or were supposed to be.
