I read a lot of people dismissing them as crappy guns but ya gotta hand it to em, they offer some unique designs and don't seem to be afraid to try something new. I can't wait for my ranch hand to get here!!

I messed with one at the last gunshow, it was pretty dang cool....just a judge with a stock and long barrel...literally. I would think in that platform it would live up to the judges potential moreso than even the judge

I know this is resurrecting an old thread, but in a recent NRA magazine, they mentioned a "trail judge." Similar to the circuit judge, but with a 12" barrel, lever action, and an overall length of 24.3 inches. The pic in the magazine is pretty sweet, but I can't seem to find any info on Rossi's site. Has anyone seen this in person, or was this just wishful thinking on Rossi's part.

1. I believe that there is a shroud on the front of the cylinder which is (supposed) to protect the arm from blow-by.

2. I have read that the forcing cone on the Judge guns is so long, to accomodate the end of the .410 shotshell that .45 colt accuracy is very poor. (bullet seems to cant) Shouldn't be a problem with the .38/.357 though.
