We are having a CMP Highpower match on Saturday the 22nd at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club near Byram (so just over a week from this posting). All target will be at 200 yds and we'll be on range 5. We plan to have two relays depending on participation. We'll plan to have rounds downrange at 8:00 a.m. sharp, so please be there by 7:45 a.m. to do paperwork and get gear to the line. Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and close shortly after 8:00. Any that can make it sooner and help set up are always appreciated as well. $10 match fee. Do not bring rifles to the line until instructed to do so. Chamber flags required. If you don't have one, see me when you arrive. Feel free to post here or PM me with any questions. First timers welcome of course (contact me about affidavit requirement).a

I will be there. Hopefully with 2 others.

Also is this another one of the 800 aggregate matches?

You know, I might bring my M1.
Kinda like flagellation.
Compared to those with ARs. Especially if the Leutnant zur See isn't home yet.
I'll never forget his first CMP vintage match. He'd been shooting M1 for a year or two and said "I can't shoot these notch sites (shooting a Swede 1896).
So I bought him a 1903A3.

He had to show his company commander how to disassemble and re-assemble the "RIFLE, Caliber .30, M1" while at the USMMA. That was hilarious. [Dad I have to carry the d*mn thing 24/7, sleep with it, but they won't let me shoot the d*mn thing. WTF?] Momma was not happy with the language.
