It's time to add the cold weather gear to your BOB or BOV.I'm adding a Thinsulate hat, wool socks, gloves,Military wool sweater and longjohns to my BOB.I'll also throw in a couple of old wool army blankets in the Suburban. I have the fire starting gear already in the BOB

What else do I need?

Water. Dehydration kills.

I keep firestarter in my BOB. Cotton balls dipped in vaseline & stored in a 35mm film roll. Lights easy & gives a good long burn to start a fire.

I also keep a couple of instant soup packets in the bag as well.

Between the soup, water & fire I'll always have a hot meal.

don't know whats in your bag but here's a few thoughts off the top of my head:

waterproof boots would be good
a way to chop wood for fires or building shelters can be handy too
a small shovel or e-tool for the BOV.
small size tarp because it rains a lot in the winter.
keep clothing layerable rather than big bulky stuff because when you walk you get hot even if its cold and you'll need to shed.
