my GCNM is all standard no changes almost nib.
my Ser70 has just had novak extreme duty sights put on (it will be going back to Tim Thompson at Bill"s Custom Automatics for a full house custom when Tim finishes my rifle build.. I will have to replenish the gun fund after that but oh it will be worth it. My Commander is at Tim's now getting a set of the novaks put on it... i really like them.

I just hope my wife never figures out what i spend on guns after the initial purchase of them

HA HA HA my hubbie wishes he had the luxury of me not knowing what he spends on them after he purchaces a new 1. I just happen to know as much about what he does to them and what it costs as he does so he can't sneak the changes or the expense past me. I guess to him that is the only downfall to having a wife that is as into guns and shooting as he is. I'll do my best to keep it to myself!!!

I certainly hope the guy realizes how fortunate he is. Many wives shun firearms. Mine's parents believe citizens are safer un-armed! (??!). Their daughter has slowly come around, after 30 years now. Gotta be cautious, the anniv. happens May 4, and the celebration is a trip out to Laughlin, NV! (looking over shoulder), don't think she reads my forum entries.............. massair

I have held and shot a number of various handguns, Sig's, Beretta's, GLOCK's (ack!!!) XD's, among others. I keep returning to the ol' trusty 1911. No other gun feels as good in my hand as the 1911. It has been around for nearly 100 years, and shows no sign of slowing down in popularity.

My first handgun was a Colt Python. My second was a Colt 1911 .45acp. At age 16 I stocked a lot of groceries to buy that Commander. I've put a Videcki trigger, Novak sights, Ed Brown grip safety and Ed Brown ambi thumb safety on it, and a Chip McComick sear. I polished blued it, throated it, and polished the feed ramp. A good friend of mine gave me a pair of walnut grips with JT on them that Jeff Cooper personally gave him at Gunsite as a gift. Its the only centerfire auto I have right now.

I own 2 of them, both 1991A1s! One full size "military" model, one officer's model. Both .45 ACP! Full size is my nightstand, "What was that?" gun! Officer's model stays in the truck or moved to the wife's Jeep when go in it.
