Does anyone out there have one of these? I found one in a pawn shop that I may buy. All the ones on Gun Broker are $800+. This one is a good bit less. I haven't seen one of these in a while. I've got a G20 that's my truck gun and a G20SF with a 6" Lone Wolf barrel that I shoot hot loads through. Does the Delta Elite have a fully supported chamber? Thanks.

Yes on the fully supported chamber. If you decide not to get it let us know where it is; someone here may want one at "a good bit less than $800."

I have to agree with ft here on this one! If it's priced considerably less than the $800 price range there is most likely something horribly wrong with it and as a responsible citizen I will be happy to make sure that it's taken off the market. If you decide not to get it, let us know where it can be found and whichever of us is closest will take care of it. Thanks... :lol:

From the comments it seems this may be a decent deal. I hate the thought of buying another 1911. If I keep going my 1911's are gonna outnumber my Glocks.

Very well then you're quest for a 10mm and desire not to own another 1911 can be satisfied. I have an S&W 1066 (shorter barrel, slide decocker, stainless) with two mags I will swap for the Delta. There's nothing wrong with the Smith, but I'm a 1911 freak! I'll even go with you to the store and we can trade right there.

Didn't the original Delta Elites have problems with the rails cracking? Wasn't that why they quit building it till they came out with the new stainless Delta Elites?

IIRC, the hole for the slide stop on the left side cracked and they revised it by making it a notch. How a notch is stronger than a hole is above my pay grade but it solved the problem and it's quick work to bring an old one up to the new design.

Me being the pawn shop crawler that I am, happens to know where the one you are talking of is. It looks good to me. I actually found one a few years ago for $400 and bought it. The one you are looking at looks better.

I have 3 orginal marked colt mags.
2 are stainless steel with colt delta markings. 1 is blue also has colt markings.

I was finally able to get back over to Forest and get this thing. Got a better deal than I expected. I'll post some pictures in the gallery when I get it cleaned up. It's really nasty.
