I have a fellow wanting to trade me a Colt Walker 1847 .44 cal. 3rd generation, made by Colt, NIB, unfired, I am not a pistol person, anybody have an idea as to the value of this piece.

Is this gun still in production, it is supposed to be a 3rd generation. I am just not familiar with these firearms. This gun is made by Colt Firearms.

the ones made by colt are boxed and very nice, as Doug indicated they hold their value.
