Come try an USPSA match- What's 'neck gotta do to get you to try it?

OK all you Central, MS folks...

Ya'll have been hearing about my escapades in the wild wild world of USPSA shooting...

The question is....what's it gonna take to get a few more of you folks to come give it a try.?

Seriously folks.....no one is gonna say a word about how you shoot. The folks at Magnoila bend over backwards to make sure you are safe and that you enjoy yourself.

Yeah you'll burn some ammo...over time you'll improve and the bottom line is you'll be a better defensive pistol shooter as a result of it...I'm convinced of that.....

Just my 2 cents....so how can I "entice" ya'll to give it a go? Bring that stock pistol...what you carry..a double pouch and 3-4 mags...that's all you need

Ya'll are missing all the fun

U know the 'neck is not BS'ing ya'll on this one! :p

Yep, go ahead and try it one time. You might like it. The friendship and comraderey are amazing. The first match you attend will change the way look at "shooting sports". All you have to do is ask a question and will likely recieve several answers. And all of the shooters are willing to help you improve your "game"! Come on fellas, one day out of your lives is not a lot to ask, now from there on out I'm not responsible for how you send your Sundays!

Bigsig, I just need a place to shoot paper first to get that part down better. Family sold the land we had been on and all my friends with land I know have different work schedules than me. If you know a place I can shoot regular, let me know in the tri-county area. Dues are not a problem. I'll stop in at Brookhaven when I'm down that way.
My bad knees will slow me down but my son's been talking three gun matches up at Ft. Campbell and he likes it and been hounding me also. Been following 'Necks post on it and would definetily want to be in the wadding pool end to see how deep the water is.

Sid there are some big guys at magnolia that dont like to run, so when they game a stage they look to see how many targets they can hit from one position then move to the next....you dont have to run to be pretty fast.

I'd say running ability is the least important thing....Shooting those A's, not having penalties and of course being 100% safe and learning the game are all much more important.

There's plenty of water to wade in. You "compete" within your classification.....mainly you compete with yourself...

Don't worry about the knees Sid...come join us...'neck walks through his stages right now.. :rotflmao:

You'll love it

Wish I had started out earlier watching and then shooting. I did have a good time and everyone was friendly and helpful (and I didn't have to run 'cept to get to my grandson's b'day party).
I been reading that rule book 'Neck and I don't see nothing that says you can't use a cane so lookout.

You will need 3 more. You have a holster that covers the trigger guard? You'll need mag pouches to hold 4 mags with one in the gun. And a good sturdy belt.

But there's no need to rush all of that. The club in Jackson has loner gear for the new shooters. That way you can try it and not be out a lot of money if you find out it's not for you. By the way your 1st match is free.
