Couple of Tidbits

Just wanted to share a few things that happened the other day. I was watching a salesperson who will remain unnamed trying to sell a shotgun. The man was looking at an over and under and a double barrel. The salesman told him the o/u was more accurate because every time you shot the double you had to move it a little side to side to comensate for the barrels. He even took it and moved it about an inch side to side to show the man what he was talking about. Also, I bought a gun a walmart and while we were waiting I ask the manager if it was true when you bought a gun at walmart that they escorted you to the door. He told me it was true and that when we were finished he would walk me to the outside of the building (which he did). I ask him if that wasn't a little crazy since they allowed permit holders to walk around in the store with a loaded weapon. He just got a funny look on his face and said something about the rules.

90% of business owners have no clue that permit holders carry in thier shops. It is amazing how many people go through life unprotected and uninformed. I try to tell whoever will listen that a CCW is a good thing to have. I learned awhile back that Academy sports frowns upon carrying in thier stores. It is NOT against thier policies, just frowned upon.

When they were debating whether to allow guns in parks someone told me that if it passed they wouldn't go to parks anymore because they didn't want to be where people carried guns.

I asked them if they were going to just stay in their house all the time, because people with firearm permits carry most everywhere allowable by law and they were around them everyday and never knew it.
They just looked at me dumbfounded and change the subject. :lol4:

Ha I'm assuming you mean a o/u and a Side-by-side since they're both double barrels.

Bass pro also walks you to the door. But they also make you check out downstairs. I would assume it's as much for your benefit as it is for their peace of mind, because that way you won't have random employees asking WTF you were doing walking around the store with a rifle or shotgun out and no real trigger lock on it(they use cheap plastic ones on their display guns).

Kmart has always walked you to the door when you bought agun, I got a .22 rifle there 20yrs ago and they told me it was company policy, and wouldn't sell you ammo at the same time you bought the gun either. Had to put gun in vehicle then buy ammo.

I remember when Walmart use to make you write your name down when you brought ammo
Was that a state law at one time? I remember doing that at a lot of places, when I was younger.

Ha kmart is a bad example. Ever see bowling for columbine by that ra-tard Michael Moore? One of the kids from columbine was paralyzed from a 9mm bullet that had apparently originally come from kmart. So what does the fat/white/smelly version of Obama do? He gets the paraplegic, and another victim to go to the kmart headquarters and protest until they stopped selling 9mm ammo....and guess what!?!?!?!?! Those pusses at kmart gave in!!!! I don't know how dumb and dumber got hold of the ammunition to begin with(I was fairly young at the time), or how it was even traced back to kmart! But I'm pretty sure kmarts ban of 9mm didn't prevent any other school shootings.

Words to live by there.
Right there with you there just wasn't jack on that day and I was interested to hear exactly what his antigun argument would be. He had a few good points as I recall(been too long for me to remember what they were)....but let's just say none that were good enough to change any of my views.

Re: Couple of Tidbits

For the record, it was NOT me trying to sell that shotgun!

Geesh everyone knows one is just as accurate as the other cause you have to lift and lower the O/U to compensate for the stacked barrels. Lol. J/k
