As the title says, guess what I'm gonna use this for? 20180117_172336-1-1024x1024.jpg 20180117_172352-1-1024x1024.jpg 20180117_172509-1-1024x670.jpg
I'm not quite finished. I need to put a knob on it and sandblast it so I can paint it, plus a couple other things. Had to make the clamp screw out of a 1/4in rod cause the screw I bought wasn't gonna work. Can't ever be an easy way! Can't afford a Hog Saddle so this is the next best thing. I have version 2 already drawn up. Its gonna be better. What yall think?

I think that some nice machine work. You drawing by hand or CAD?

Thanks, I used CAD then got it cut out with a waterjet. I didn't machine anything so to speak. I machined the clamp screw. Otherwise I just used my mill and drilled and tapped everything.

Still very nice. What CAD software you running? We could sure use some help with rhino 5. Or could pay someone to do drawings from time to time

I use autocad 12. Rhino is super complex.

Haha I actually had thought about making them real nice and powder coating and selling them. I need to make at least 2 more for some folks. I need to remove all the sharp corners. Thats one of the refinements of version 2.

I'm not into fancy either, just something dependable that works. I have long considered a hog saddle, just couldn't bring myself to pay for one. I'm serious about two of them. In a few months me, my buddy, you & nonnie can sit down & compare real world notes from using them in the dead of night chasing wiley.

Well we have auto CAD and bobcad also and for us the rhino is easier but still a pain. Did not mean to hijack your thread

Uh oh I think I started something. I gotta get my uncle's storage building to my house and all my stuff moved first. Yall gotta give me a little while... I just blurted out coyote clamp to my wife and it stuck. So that's where the name come from. Cause thats all I'll use it for is coyotes. Somebody else is gonna have to try it out on hogs. It's very ridged as well.

and just let the forum know price and availability on your
    own timetable, thanks.

You haven't hijacked nothing my friend! This is my thread and we can talk about whatever! Or "they" can lock it!

I can draw basic stuff but nothing complicated. I drew a meat grinder plate I need to cut out for my dad. He doesn't use his computer anymore to draw. He is a retired architect. Maybe I should have listened to him more about drawing when I was young.

I got a few hundred acres and a yard over run with coyotes when you wanna try it out. Limited access to hogs but you're welcome to come shoot all the coyotes you want
