I had to go through some of dad's stuff this weekend. Over the years, he had bought, traded, and sold many of hes guns. The list has changed many times over the years. In his later years, he narrowed down his list to just a few shotguns and a 22. I brought the 22 home this weekend. This one I always remembered. I always thought it unusual skinny, and pump action. When I brought it home and started doing a little searching, I was suprised to learn about it. Winchester model 62A

Many of these were made for the carnival shooting galleries. shooting 22 shorts. Imagine that today. :lol4:

This one is a post war 22 S,L, or LR

Like I said, for my 40+ years, this one has been the one that was always constant. I can't wait to see this weekend how well it does side-by side to the 10/22.

Someday I'll have an fine old 22 pump...but the prices now are outrageous. You're lucky, enjoy it.

Don't ever let that one go. You can't replace the memories. The Winchester 62 has always been on my wish list.
