    A sad ending... I reckon the saying about not pulling it from your holster unless you intend to follow thru with firing your weapon had application.

    Too bad...sounds like the guy who died did too much pointing and too little shooting.

    It also sounds like it was not an attempt at self defense but of attempting to hold for authorities. Suspect had made it outside and was in his vehicle starting to leave.

    The time to act was before suspect shot first victim. Following outside and attempting to detain was a mistake.

    True... very true. :yeah:

    At that point, I would try to catch a vehicle description and tag number if possible for the police... but once the suspect shooter has departed, I think it unwise to pursue him.

    One other consideration... I might not want to be outside with a weapon in my hand while the police are arriving on the scene... know what I mean???
