We've got a full schedule of events this year at DeSoto Rifle & Pistol Club, with more still to be added later (zombie shoot, Mosin shoots, etc.).

Mississippi Enhanced Carry Permit Class. ($85, 3 classes per month, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM). Train in our classroom and fire unlimited rounds with your carry pistol at static (paper) and reactive (steel) targets for a quality day of training. Group (corporate, church, etc.) classes can be arranged as requested, please contact us!

Gunsite Academy Defensive 3 Gun. DeSoto Rifle & Pistol Club is proud to offer a very special, once in a lifetime experience for the serious student: A full 5-day 3-gun defensive course taught by the master instructors of the Gunsite Academy. You’ve probably heard of Gunsite Academy and their founder Lt. Colonel Jeff Cooper, who is widely known as the father of the Modern Technique of the Pistol. When you want the best of the best, you go to Gunsite. When you can’t go to Gunsite, we bring them to you for a very special one time visit to Mississippi. You will not want to miss out on this chance! Runs Friday, September 13 - Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Cost is $1,7500. $500 deposit due by 8/2/2013 with full payment due by 8/30/2013. Ammunition: 600 rounds handgun, 600 rounds carbine, 100 rounds 00 buckshot, 50 birdshot, 50 slug.

Youth Safety Camp ($175 for a full week, M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily, includes meals, drinks, firearms, ammunition). The perfect firearms safety and usage camp for juniors aged 10 – 15 to learn safe and responsible usage of pistols, rifles and shotguns. Pick one week: June 17 – 21, 2013 or June 24 – 28, 2013.

AR-15 Clinics. Learn how to shoot from prone at 200, 300 and 600 yards, how to field strip, clean and properly maintain you new AR. $200, 4/6/13, 8:00 AM – 4:00, includes lunch and ammunition (100 rounds of .223)!

Appleseed Clinics. (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, 4/27/13 & 4/28/13, 6/22/13 & 6/23/13, 8/24/13 & 8/25/13, 10/26/13 & 10/27/13). The goal of Project Appleseed is to give every American the skills to take a rack grade rifle and surplus ammunition and consistently hit silhouette targets out to 500 yards from the prone position using iron sights and no rests or sandbags.
