Hey guys new to the msgo but not Mississippi , born and bread in the lovely magnolia state .I have a opportunity to help out a local FFL manufacturet by assisting him with milling some uppers and lowers . Just wondering if I need to have the same FFL as he does or not . I'm really interested in firearms manufacturing , but being a mid 20s college student going for electrical engineering I don't have the funds at the moment to buy a mill and lathe . So I was hoping to gain some experience by helping out the FFL manufactur

I would think your local FFL could and should answer those questions for you. So please ask your manufacturing FFL or call the ATF if any doubt. I'm not a lawyer and I don't offer legal advice.

His FFL should cover work done on the location . You are working for him. But ask him. He would be the one selling the parts. There are many parts on a gun that you do not need a FFL to buy.
