who on here has there FFL? I am buying a piece online and need one in the Jackson area to do the transfer for me.

Might not be a bad idea for a list of FFL's on here for other members to use and help them out.

Also, what does your gunshop charge you to transfer around town.

I know Great Southern in Pearl charges $25

Sad to see all these local dealers slowly putting themselves out of business by doing Internet transfers for bottom feeding Internet companies. Very sad!

??? The markup on guns isn't that high, and by doing transfers the product isn't sitting on the shelf for months at a time only to make $40-50 off of it.

What, exactly, makes these companies bottom feeders? All they are doing is selling guns to consumers who are looking for the best possible price. Where I'm from we call that "business." Handled correctly, transfers can build business over time for the local dealer (assuming, of course, the local dealer isn't looking to gouge the customer on every sale).

I just picked up a XD/S from Paul Clack in Madison/Canton. Wonderful service and took time to just talk.. I'd recommend him to anyone. I think he goes by "Clack's Gun Works"

Anybody know of an ffl in the Jackson area that accepts shipment from an individual? The guys I've used and talked to on this board all require an ffl on the other end of the deal. I'm currently winning a gunbroker auction, have no idea who to call on if I win. Either post up or pm me a name if you know some one, please.
