who on here has there FFL? I am buying a piece online and need one in the Jackson area to do the transfer for me.

Might not be a bad idea for a list of FFL's on here for other members to use and help them out.

Also, what does your gunshop charge you to transfer around town.

I know Great Southern in Pearl charges $25

they did change owners and the black dude behind the counter retired. he was the one i dealt with
he was pretty cool and took good care of my wife when i was in the hospital...he loaned her more money than stuff was worth because he knew i was in the hospital . if it was not for him my wife woulod not have had the gas money to drive back and forth to jackson
It may have already been posted, but this tool at the bottom of Gunbroker is pretty handy. It lets you search your zip and add distance, add listed FFLs, and prices, nearby.
I'm sure it isn't all inclusive, just the ones GB knows about... But there's usually plenty.

I looked up the local ffl license holders online and found a guy right up the street from me in rankin co. Google is good place to search..
I use MAM Services in Warren County, friendly guy
I just hit the jackpot. After all this time I didn’t know there was a FFL/class 3 dealer literally 2 houses down from my house. There goes all my lunch money

I have some bad news, it looks like Cowart's Arms & Ammo has lost their FFL. From what I understand, the ATF pulled their license due to their "zero tolerance" policy over some BS accusations. I always liked doing business with Larry, and hate to have to take my business elsewhere - but do you guys know of any FFL's with a similar $20 price tag in the area? Not a fan of the Down Range guys in Clinton, they're some serious scalpers.

Never bought anything from Cowart's only ever been in there twice. Hate they lost their FFL though.
I bought some AR parts, 10/22 mags and a stripped lower from Down Range, prices not any higher than everybody else around. Haven't bought or looked at the guns much to know if their prices are high. Their transfer fee are listed as $35 not to bad, but if don't talk to them first and just have a gun shipped to them without them expecting it they charge $100

Hah, that gives me even more reason not to do business with them. I think $35 is pretty high for a transfer, but that might just be me. I did a single transfer through them before, called them beforehand, was friendly and paid their fee, and yet they still had the nerve to act like I was a big inconvenience. They wanted an extra week after the gun arrived to do the transfer because they were 'too busy' and didn't have time to log all that intensive info into their books... seriously?

My experience may be isolated, but that + their ammo prices rubbed me the wrong way.

You are most welcome Sir.
Anywhere recommended on the coast? Seems like most "stores" charge $40+ per transfer.

Did you try the GunBroker FFL finder link I posted a few comments up?
Deadeye arms (formerly Cowart's) in Pearl is still 20.00 for a transfer.
