After shooting my good group at 600 and then 1000 i couldnt figure out why my groups opened up so much at 600 the next couple weekends.. So i cleaned the barrel and while doin so i noticed my scope has been walking in the rings.. :yell:

Guess its time to go ahead and get some good rings and base. My cheap $15 weaver rings and $7 base just aint gonna cut it..

Gonna order some Burris XTR rings and a EGW rail.. that should solve any more problems except the money issue.. :suspect:

the burris XTR and EGW rail work great. I put that set up on my rem 700 7/08 and they have worked just fine. I was going to put nightforce rings and bases like on my 300 but figured i would try something less pricey and see how it worked. That setup got good reviews on sniperhide. i think i found them cheapest from SWFA.com
