Met with Shooter today in Hburg. Made a great deal on a Springfield 1911A1 Loaded Stainless. Was originally looking for a GI Model but couldnt pass this one up. I do want to change the grips to some stock grips. Next handgun will be an RIA 1911A1.

Very nice springer. Looking for some grips holler at emartin he's making some nice sets.

Just a ? for ya. Why buy the RIA? The springfield is a much better gun. I'm not discounting the RIA at all as I've not heard a bad report.

Nice Springer you got.

You'll like the RIA, it is a quality 1911 in my opinion. I have 2 of the RIA's myself and really like them. For the price they are a great buy.

On the RIA, like I mentioned in the original post, I was wanting a standard GI model. Still do. Not getting rid of the SA, just getting the RIA, probably sometime after the holidays.

LOL, thats how thew 1911 addiction starts. I got RIA GI and before long I changed the sights to Trijicon's and then I bobtailed it and installed better grips. Well then I decided to refinish it with Gun-Kote.

Awww what the heck I just can't leave anything alone. =)
