On the coast for work, so I decided to do a little gunshopping. Had some extra cash in my pocket, so I was actually looking pretty hard. Went by Dad’s and nothing caught my eye, so I ran down to High Caliber and noticed their Microtech selection. Been wanting one for a while and this UTX-85 caught my eye. I’ve been wanting an OTF, so Microtech was on my wishlist, but I wanted something unique. Normally I wouldn’t touch anything Spartan related, since it’s so overdone, but this one just spoke to me, and it seems to be a very oddball blade variant. I needed it like I needed another hole in my head, but what the hell.

Nice! I love mine. Same blade, just all black. Carry it every day since I got it a couple years ago. Only negative is the clip, kinda obtrusive as I've cought stuff walking by with it in my front pocket. Had to remove clip and bend it tight again a couple times.

I’m rough on clips, so I was wondering about that. How hard is it to get off when that inevitably happens?

Yeah me too. Not hard at all. Glass breaker just screws off. Usually do it every couple of months to keep it nice and snug. Though most of the time it's worn with thin scrubs so might not be as needed with jeans etc.
Luckily the date and s/n are on the recessed parts, smart thinking on that part.

Maybe. Never underestimate my ability to get hung up on something.
