I keep a basic first aid kit on hand at all times. It's part of my bug-home bag. About the only non-basic item in the kit is Quick Clot. I've heard people say that the commercial Quick Clot isn't as effective as the medical stuff. Fortunately I've never had to use it. I figure it should be at least good enough to stop the bleeding should I not fair so well in a shoot out.
