Wind killed me on the last shot which went wide right. :bang:
3 shots, 12" group with a Factory Rem700 .270

(hits are marked with black spray paint)
If the wind wouldnt have carried that other round to the right that would be a sweet group..

Hits were 3' low and 1' right.. Not to bad for a SWAG..

dude, thats great a 1k with a 270 factory, but what could u do with that Lapua ? you can make the mile. it won't be long now.

u could if you had it i bet. when u want the best, you gotta set your priorities. I think if anybody "needs" a 338Lapua, its you. guess u need to start selling stuff cause you absolutly need that Lapua. u know its worth it. I don't have a need or want for it or I'd get it.

What ranges do we have around that can accommodate long-range shooting? Starkville Gun Club only goes out to 200 yards (really more like 185) and I'm itching to at least get out to 400-500.

Went back out yesterday and the .270 just sucked.. i could keep them on a 22"square plate but something was up. I cleaned the barrel again so im goin to foul it and give it a try again this week before the match saturday..

Seems it likes to shoot good after 40rds thru it but over 150 and it starts slinging them everywhere.
Rifle has roughly 350-400rds thru it now so its still "new".

Might go ahead and order a heavy barrel for it soon enough, lil pencil barrel gets hot after a few rounds and the Mirage off it makes the target move in my scope :lol4:
