Fluxing, what do you use?

What do yall use to flux your casting lead with and how do you do it?

unscented candle wax. A piece about the size of a dime. It will melt then catch on fire and burn off leaving the waste. This is what large lead plants use.

i use the fine sawdust that my sander sucks up. if that runs out i use candle wax

Sawdust ... liberal amount on top of melt ... use wooden stick to stur into the melt.

Candle wax.

I use paraffin wax, Gulf wax more precisely. I have seen where some of yall were using sawdust or wooden sticks, just wondered how yall did that.

When smelting lead I just let the grease off of the WW act as flux.

When alloying everything together I have some NEI flux unless I forget where I put it then I just use cheap candle wax.
