My husband went to Ramey's today to pick up some stuff from their "friday only" sale. He told me that there was a sign posted by the register that said something to this effect:

"Our suppliers have increased their prices by up to 3x on some items due to weather conditions and poor harvest. Unfortunately we have to pass these costs on to our customers. We continue to strive to keep our prices as low as possible for you."

This is by no means verbatim, but you get the idea. I have a feeling that along with rising fuel prices, we'll continue to see this happening all around, but I doubt you'll see a sign like this at Walmart.

I'm sure that all of you are probably well aware of this, just wanted to give yall the heads up.

I see food & ammo prices going up this week if not sooner.

Tomorow I'm going to make a Sam's Club run for bulk food supplies & then make an online bulk ammo order before the shipping rates go up on Monday.

We can't control the weather but we can control the price of gas. Drilll here, drill now! Thousands of wells have been drilled offshore and one spill stops it all.

Went to Kroger w/ the wife. They said they had not got a shipment of lettuce in two weeks. It'll be through the roof when it get here.

High Fuel prices are gonna hurt a lot worse than food...A little unrest and they use it to stick the green weenie to us...

This is why food and energy are left out of the Gubermints inflation figures.

Time to quit eating so much and get in shape by riding a bike...should be a real productivity enhancer.... :bsflag:

This too will pass...I see no rush to run out and buy anything extra.....you should have "laid in" some supplies by now anyway
