Man, there's a TON of Garand fans on here. This could become a very long thread.

My one (so far) is a 1954 Springfield from CMP. I shot the last couple Hi power matches at Magnolia with it, without much success , but had a ball. Plan a trip to CMP later this month, probably get a H & R.

Beautiful rifle Shoe, did the wood come like that or did you get the wood and do it yourself? Whoever did it, looks great.

Just a CMP "Field Grade". Sometimes you get lucky. Lots of dings don't show in the photo. I call them "character". Good barrel...the guy pulling the trigger not so hot.

I've got two Springfield M-1 Garands. One was made in 1942 and had a new barrel installed in 1946. The other is a CMP Special that has a new Criterion barrel and new stock with a CMP cartouche.

I really think at our next Meet & Greet, we should have a Garand display and shoot!! I would love to see 40 on a line all with Garands putting 8 down range!!

I have a HR Garand with a SA bolt.. roughly 1956.
It shoots great!!

I been wanting to go get a deer with it, just havent yet..

How about a firing squad, with 30 or 40 shooters putting 8 downrange at the same target? Hehehehehe

I think Subgunfan shot this photo, but I might be wrong. In any event, I stole it, but the rifle (and the belly) are all mine.
