This is a link to website for Ridge Crossing Shooting Club. It's not a public range in the sense of just going there to shoot any time you want. They run IDPA matches there only. They have two matches a month. The IDPA state match will there Oct. 9th of this year. The Carters are good folks and run a safe range, and the volunteer staff are good folks as well. Spectaters are well come, but bring eye and ear protection as it is a requirement for spectaters as well (A good idea anyway).

If you want more information E-mail them at [email protected]

They have been known to run a Tactical type shotgun match as well. I'm hoping they incorporate rifle at some point too. People there have always seemed willing to help newcomers who just want to try it out and see if they like it. Every trip has been a positive experience for me.

Need some time off from work first. New hires should be through training by the end of June. And, I need some gear. A double magazine pouch and another "good" mag or two. If you see a good deal on either of these, send it my way!

What type of pistol will you be shooting?

Big Mike most folks would lend you one if need it. You don't need for all stages of fire. Some it will be required. I know one guy who just bought an over size BDU shirt from Military surplus to use as his vest. It works fine. I bought a 511 vest but it was about 60 dollars. Until you know for sure that you want to do it more I'd borrow one or get the BDU one. You can always use another Cammo shirt right?
