You just let me know if you want to make that bet official. Torture test and then competition.
hmm lets see 1911, served in WWII, Korea, Nam, Desert Storm, and currently in use in afganistan and iraq. The weapons platform used by MEUSOC. Carried by lapd swat, SIS, FBI hostage teams, marine force recon, Delta Force along with half the military's of the free world... Glocks mmm not so much lol This is debat is about as old as ford vs chevy lol I tell you when the MEU issues a formal statement saying the 1911 is a outdated POS thats not worth the metal its made from. I will Seppuku and allow the new generation to take the reins

Glock cant help it that Gaston is not old as dirt. All of these military units are told what to shoot. There command might say if you want a bigger caliber than a 9mm you have to use surplus 1911s. Chances are they dont have a choice. They want a bigger caliber so they make do with a 1911. Really they mumble dang our commander I wish he would order us a few glocks.

professionals use the 1911 and the mundane cop uses the glock. It boils down to people who train use the 1911 and the cop that only shoots his glock for qualification.

Good point you have to train daily just to clear malfunctions on a 1911. :lol3:
