Ours slopes to much to fill in unfortunately. We had thought about doing that before but its just to much of a slope and WAY to much shade. We don't want to cut the trees though cause they keep our electricity bill way down thanks to all the shade they produce.
Gardens
Where would you plant one? We don't have any ideal spot for a garden. All of our land is sloping down hill and shaded almost completely so it makes planting a garden difficult. For survival I know you will have already canned and put a lot of food from the garden but what I want to know is if we are in a every man for himself type survival situation where would you plant a garden? You don't want it where its easily seen by anyone that happens by cause ya don't want your means of survival stolen.

I had thought about the fact that if its a survival situation there will be some trees cleared for firewood purposes and that would help the situation.
Hadn't thought about the fact that a lot of them won't be here.
We did the upside down thing in a bucket last year with a couple tomato plants for the kids. Plants grew like crazy and had lots of blooms but didn't produce a single tomato.
