I must be getting old. I spent a few hours with my nephew at Magnolia today, shot his Mosin that he bought off Mikey. After 30 rounds he couldnt shoot anymore, skinny kid, shoulder pain...lol. Shot the Mossberg tactical for the first time, 500 rounds without a malfunction. Fun little plinker. Decided to take my Mark II with me and zero it and test several different types of ammo. Starting I wasnt even on the paper, I used mini mags to bring it COM and was able to get it within a 3 inch diamond with those. I didnt want to waste good ammo doing that. Cleaned the barrel and was getting ready to test my first 5 rounds of Eley when something happened. My back, knees and bones in general were hurting too bad to continue. Hence the gettin old title. Three hours was enough for me today. Maybe I was just having a bad day or maybe its cause Im 48 and overweight. Had big plans, shoot the Mosin, shoot the 10/22 and Mossberg, zero the Mark II and shoot my 1911's, which I havent had a chance to do yet. Well, 20% aint bad. Maybe next week.
