I hassled cyberwaste about his connection, and then a found an ok deal on a new one. Now I have found a 17 for 150 less. Should a pay 150 for less than one inch of sight radius added? Also if I was teaching a class with it on my side would you look down on me...since its not really a concealed carry gun?

get the 34. don't think about the 17. you want a 34 then buy a 34 and you want one. sometimes that extra inch will make a difference.

True that. I carry a full size 1911 and a Taurus 24/7 OSS. Not compact by any means.
Bottom line, get what you want. If you just settle for something else, you will eventually go back and get what you wanted to start with.

I have a 34 that i have put about 12000 rds thru...like it...I like the 17 also...can't see the longer barrel being much different to conceal...if no target work was being done...the 17 would be fine...D-451
