Im going camping somewhere in the state I have yet to find a location. Which is why im here. Looking for steep terrain with a good river for fishing. Im guessing somewhere in north MS?

Don't know how long you been in MS but the lakes at the state parks ain't the best place to fish, Holmes is about the best followed by Percy Quinn. Been to most and can't think of one that has a river and not a lake. Other than that, they're great to take kids, we always end up with about 20 people coming and going when we make a week of it.

Great River Road State Park in Rosedale is on the Mississippi River, you can fish for catfish and will catch a few stripes but not much else.

It doesn't fit your criteria, but I'd recommend looking into the Mountain Home, AR area. I camp there several times a year right up by Bull Shoals dam - great trout fishing and the river with a fish basket makes for a great cooler.

Yea my grandparents live in Arkansas it gets too cold for me up there lol

I was going to suggest something in AR too. I like the Little Red River area near Heber. Cold water, trout, fly fishing, mountains (hills).

There's nothing in the NW MS area. You might find something over in the TN-Tom area in NE MS.

The Little Red, the Buffalo (TN & AR) and the White can offer good fishing and cheap places to camp, the Buffalo is about 2 hrs north of Corinth if I remember right, we've camped at Crazy Horse up there and it was decent. Actually headed to the White next weekend but I'm staying in a cabin
