Currently I load using zero and precision delta (which ever is in stock at the time). I'm thinking of making the switch to cast bullets trying to get my overall costs down. I was thinking of trying Missouri Bullets, but it seem like several prefer BBI or precision bullets. After looking at the prices of BBI and precision they aren't much less than precision delta or zero FMJ. Missouri costs about half that. Are BBI really that much better?

I load 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. It would be great if I could cut the cost in half without sacrificing reasonable accuracy and reliability.

Been using Oregon Trail LaserCast in my 1911 for the past two years. No problems except for the smoke. Will try Billy Bullets [moly] next.I don't think you can cut the cost in half and be happy with what you end up with.

Have really never loaded any cast except my own production ... do have some Missouri 40S&W I just picked-up and will be giving them a try shortly .... if they don't shoot well, they go into the melting pot!!

Have heard some good reports on Bayou Bullets .... out of Shreveport ...

I have loaded over 1000 Missouri bullets and I have been happy. They smoke but not too bad. They all have been .40 s&w. $79/1k shipped and they are at my door in two days. I have also shot over 1k barry's mfg copper plated at $119/1k and those shoot nice. I will be trying precision delta next which is in about a week haha.

I just ordered 500 180gn from friendswoodbullets.com, $49 shipped isn't too bad. Shipping gets ya at $15, Missouri's are cheaper but I wanted the round nose for a change.

I had a question, does shooting mass amount of cast lead have any adverse effects on the barrel or firearm? I clean mine after every session and run a bore snake thru it a few times but should I run it through during shooting?

Some lead removers will destroy match grade accuracy in barrels. its all on how and what you use to clean
