Good Deals Thread

I've seen this on a couple other forums and really like the idea. Basically, post up good deals that you have found while shopping on the web or in the "real world." No advertising stuff for sale - there's a For Sale forum for that. Just point your fellow gun owners to deals that may be of interest to them.

I'll start with an example:

I use those instead of .30 cal ammo cans now. They stack much better.
Are they water tight?
They have a rubber gasket around the top so they should be reasonably water tight. I've never submerged one. There are no holes in the top where the handle attaches either.

I know it would never happen; but coming from someone it just happened to; these have no chance in a fire. My surplus ammo cans (and ammo) ALL survived. It was a week before the investigators would let me in the house so my ammo cans had some light surface rust, that all wiped off. Ammo was safe and sound. I store my powder and primers in steel cabinets and they all seem to be fine too. I learned to avoid plastic and cardboard (plastic melts and cardboard holds water). Also learned to store electronics in a cabinet (lost my electronic scale, brass dryer and tumblers). Inside of safe stayed dry so looks like I only lost one gun that I had out to work on. Think when I rebuild the room I'm going to look into high security lateral file cabinets for powder, primer and electronics storage. They can be found fairly cheap and are more secure than your typical gun safe.

A lot less than if you did it outdoors in Swissconsin, Minnesota, or Alaska in Winter.
Mebbe we can get the SJW/Antifa crowd to take up "self-ice-sculpturing" as an act of defiance?
