Good Deals Thread

I've seen this on a couple other forums and really like the idea. Basically, post up good deals that you have found while shopping on the web or in the "real world." No advertising stuff for sale - there's a For Sale forum for that. Just point your fellow gun owners to deals that may be of interest to them.

I'll start with an example:

"I just got back from Southern Connection in Ridgeland. MDOC delivered the rest of the S&W's yesterday afternoon. This is the types they have."

So no 686s? I guess that's a good thing didn't need to spend the money.

64 on the left for $229. 65 in the middle for $325 and 15 on the right for $229. He said they got about a hundred total in. They are dirty with a lot of finish wear. He said they never cleaned them. Shot once a year for qualifications with wadcutters. They also had a couple of 4" 66's. They had one decent 2 1/2" 66 left but it's gone now.

Got no idea where to post his - so I'll do it here.

Some Jack-wipe moved a post I made about some Factory 40 & 9 ammo I would like to get rid of, AND only notification I got was an alert that when I clicked on it gave me an error. If I did something wrong, let me know, and if your way of letting me know is thru an alert that goes nowhere, then the administration of this blog really either isn't too bright or really doesn't give a damn.

Hi Mr. Don,
I never saw your post, and don't know what category you posted it under, but about 10 days ago, Blackbeard (who owns this site) posted a "sticky" reinforcing that all "for sale" ads must be accompanied by a photo, or they would be deleted without warning. Like I said, I never saw your ammo thread, so I don't know if you had a photo or not, but if not, that could be why it was deleted.

Blackbeard's sticky post here: Sold - ALL THREADS REQUIRE PICTURES!

Post was removed because there was no picture of the items for sale. That is clearly stated in the classifieds rules.

If you dont like the rules, you are welcome to leave.
Insulting those who do a thankless job, totally on a voluntary basis is completely uncalled for.

really getting crazy round these parts lately! soo much complaining going on. not since frex3 and bubbles has the crazy flowed so freely!

some forums require members to be vetted by a moderator and since we only have one active mod i'm aware of ,many of the newcomers might still be waiting for permission to post.

there used to be even more rules enforced in the classifieds. those rules protect all parties involved.

Yep, the quick and the not so. I won't say what I paid for my Shield9 several years ago ...
That is why i bought one less than 5 minutes after i got the email, i knew they would go quickly. Last time i hesitated for a few minutes at psa the item sold out almost immediately

I don't know how many of each type they had but with a hundred total of them they should last a couple of weeks.

Max... you might try calling the gunstore owner/FFL seller at Southern Connection... he might handpick a nice one for you and hold it till you can make a trip to Ridgeland.

I'm partial to just about any 4" S&W K-frame revolver... :)

And a S&W Model 15 is rather nice...

Did they have many more 66s worth getting? How much did they run? I pick the worst times to go out of town :/
He said he had two 66's. The one that I saw was missing the front sight insert. I think it was $379. The hundred he got in this bunch appeared to be mostly 10's, 15's, 64's and 65's. I have no idea of how many of each type.

S&W and their rebate processor have been overwhelmed and are way behind.

April "Savings You Can Carry" rebate requests are supposed to be processed by July 7th; May rebate requests by July 31st per S&W email. June's after that, I suppose.
