Big thanks goes to Captain for all his help!!!!

This thing is beatuiful! Couldnt find my Camera yesterday so ill get some pics up when i can.

Shot it when i got home and its close to sighted in, Gonna try my best to shoot in the match Saturday at Magnolia.

Oh if only it could tell its stores of yesteryear..... :sf:

Here is my sight in target from Friday before the match. Shooting mid 70s Lake City M2 Ball.

First shot was high right, made adjustment and second shot was low left. made adjustment, 3rd and 4th were left by a couple inches made adjustment, 5th and 6th were close and i ran out of daylight.
Not too bad to have 2 touching after adjustments.

Yep thru the CMP.. My dad had always wanted a Garand and a Ruger 44 Carbine... So this week i got my hands on both of them.
Captain helped me and guided me thru the selection, i just told him to pick one and thats what id get. I dont know anything about them. Since he has more than a handfull of them i let him pick what grade and all that.

Its already my Favorite, gotta start finding ammo and reloading. After the match Saturday im gonna stretch her out to 500 and see how she does.

Grade 3, Looks extremely beautiful!!
Ill have to look for my Camera again tonight and go get some pics.
Stock is in perfect condition, we found 2 nicks in it. But that took a few mintues of looking :lol4:
Reciever has very little wear on the finish, bolt handle has a little finish worn off. Over all id give it a 99 out of 100.

It is a late production Harrison & Richardson, probably around late 1955 or early 1956 -- CMP Service Grade. While I did tear it down a little, I did not go all the way ... it does have a Springfield bolt but most all the other parts I looked at seem to be correct HRA for this rifle. The barrel could be original for the rifle. Of course, I offered him what he paid and told him I would take it of his hands!!

me and pops are gonna build a concrete room instead of paying that much money for another safe. We came to that conclusion last night.

But in the mean time i have my guns stuffed in that lil safe like sardines. :D

So is the deal that you can go into the store if you're a qualifying member and buy it right then and there, versus the 60 days they allow for on the website? I'd really love to have one of those in my rifle collection!
