Shrewd brake from Brownells. From all the reading i did, alot of guys have been saying it turns the 300wm recoil into a 308 recoil, plus this rifle is heavy and doesnt even have a scope on it yet.

that is the same break i have on my 300 wm...... it kicks less than my 7/08 does. You will really like it. Dont forget hearing protection as it really makes your ears bleed if you shoot w/o some. I have a thread protector for mine and during deer season i can take the break off.

I never shoot without hearing protection. This is just to hold me off till i get my suppressor.

I always do now. Unfortunatly is didnt in my early 20's took 4 shots at a coyote (out of my truck window) w/ a breaked 7stw and my ears have had a slight ring to them ever since. I did get the coyote on the 4th shot but the price was pretty heavy.

geez, i bet that did hurt..

When we patrol the cotton and corn farm i always have the ear muffs on my head. and i always let my buddy know before i pull the trigger.. Shot the .270 over the top of the truck a few weeks ago and remembered why i always carry the ear muffs, ouch.

its a Savage 110 that i traded some engine cyl heads for .. it was a 7mm Mag, but i bought a Savage 112 300wm barrel for it. Headspaced it last night and just waiting for the scope so i can sight it in and go make some noise..

Still dont have my scope but i just had to go shoot it yesterday..

Side by side comparison of the 300wm and my Stevens .223.. recoil is the same with the muzzle brake on the 300.. without the muzzle brake its about the same as a lightweight 308.

My buddy wanted to see what it kicked like and he hit a stump in the creek about 150yds away.. no scope
I couldnt hit it for nothing, but it was fun shooting the water!
