The family and I had a great time at 'Necks

place today for the F class 22 shoot.
Kids had a blast, and miss hammer shot well!
I beat Mrs Hammer (typical). Had fun visiting and conversing with fellow shooters and forum members.

A big thanks to Neck for hosting the event, X-Ring, and anyone else that had a hand in setting up and running the show today. It
was awesome.

Neck, make sure the Mrs. knows the chili was great!!!

We also raised $100 for our Wounded Warrior packs that we are buying.
Thanks to everyone for the donation for this cause!!!

Yes it was a great day all the way around. Hammer only out shot me cause I was using a gun that wasn't mine and was not sighted in. If I had been sooting my gun and had it sighted for 100 yards I would have best him by much worse than he beat me. Miss hammer stomped us both considering she had 16 out of 40 in the X ring. Still it was a great family day for us. Thanks everyone for putting in the work to get this going.

Hope everyone had a great time...weather was about as good as it gets for the week before Christmas in MS.

I'll pass along the praise to Mrs msredneck..she did get up early this am to fire up that chilli...I gave her a little rash of crap at lunch...but she's used to it...

looks like I got leftover chilli for supper tonight as my girls are out somewhere partying I guess.

Many Thanks to Captain-03 who ran the match and watched over ya'll to make sure everyone stayed safe.

Also a big shout to X-Ring, who really knows how to put on a good match...He was there early this am watching the deer eat on the berm and setting up the range.

Shooting conditions were really tough today...wind sun...you name it...it was funny kinda...It was just about perfect when Captain-03 and I left about 3:00 pm...funny it happens that way.

Congrats to Subgunfan who kicked our a$$es in the match..and Thanks for picking up my breakfast tab this am...enjoyed it

Post pics and vids and stuff sometime this weekend if you can

we will do it again sometime soon...ya'll just let me know

We might let Hammer cook for ya'll next time...Let ya'll run everything...and I just show up and shoot

Maybe one time we could have a youth shoot....I sure would like to see a bunch of kids shooting out there

Thanks to all that showed up..Hope it was a fun day for ya'll

Ditto on pics!

Haha ol neck'll let anyone pick up the tab on breakfast. So that's how you can get all the custom bolt guns! Lol j/k man!

I'm shopping for a 22 bolt gun still but think I've bout decided on a savage TR. I wanna play. And I'd also like to get the baby girl involved too. She likes shooting 22s. May have to set up her cricket. :)

That savage will do you good joe. Mine did really well! I on the other hand screwed up my score on the last relay by not shooting but 6 on the left target and 9 on the other. I could have done good but my counting abilities were elsewhere on that string. :(

Well Captain put on a great match and you can't get a much better host than Neck. Subgun showed us how it was done. I got to watch him during the first relay it took him a little while to get his rifle set like he wanted it, even though the clock was ticking down it didn't rattle him, once he started he was turning in solid scores and continued with each relay. Well done. I snapped a few shots of the second relay firing and they are below. I'm sure Sub will post the scores later.

22RF F-Class Match Scores

Once again........ Neck......... You Da Man.

And thanks to X-Ring for being a great Match Director (and score keeper), and to Captain for keeping us SAFE.

22.5 people shot today. Who was the ".5"...? Poor Neck was cooking so much he didn't fire a whole match.

Now................ THE SCORES.......

I couldn't do a screen capture because it was too many of us today. So I had to "print & scan".

Now I will start working on posting some PICTURES...............

Back soon.................

Yeah Me and X-ring were shooting out of the middle of a gopher hole...He handled it a lot better than me :lol4:

Neck, that ammo holder is something that J. Saulters built for the Jackson Shotputters......... Back in the early 90s, J. Saulters, T. Cabell and myself were the Jackson Shotputters. A team that shot Chevy Truck Team Challenge matches. We shot local (Jackson Police Range), area (LA) and went to the nationals in Fort Lauderdale, FL two years running. Back then there was a guy name Watson that was head of the Jackson Visitors Bureau. He tried hard to bring the Chevy Truck nationals to Jackson. But it never happened...... :(

Some PICTURES............... :)

We didn't do a group picture today, but here are some of the shooters.

Captain going over the COF and RULES.

Captain taking Roll Call..................

We started with the junior shooter.

Miss Hammer receiving her award for Top Junior.

A wide varity of target stands were used today. Thanks to Captain for the bright colored target numbers.

Relay 1 shooting. YES, there are 11 shooters on the line.........

Decareaux shooting a "???" rifle topped by a NightForce scope. Worked well enough for 2nd Place.

ScottW shooting a custom Rem. 40-X. Something he borrowed....

And finally..................

My 5 minutes of fame...... :) Getting a winner's handshake from X-Ring means a LOT to me. The 22RF F-Class medal is a prized trophy. A nice way to end 2010............... :)

I have pictures of each setup, but being so many..... I will post those tomorrow. It was a wide assortment.............

Thanks for the pictures! I see some real "high tech" front rests. I like the Sinclair but way too much for my wallet. Looks like alot of Kimbers there. Hope I can join in some time!

Sounds like I missed a good time and some good eating. Chili was sure the thing for today, you wouldn't have much leftovers if I was there 'Neck. I love sure 'nough spices from NM and some good chili. Wife's sister sends us a care package every once in a while from Los Lunas. I know there's always some good food out there when 'Neck puts on a throw down.
Glad ya'll had a good time and I'm letting them know I got a "family event" next time. Good shootin' by all.
Congrats SGF, looks like you beat out some good competition.
