Nice guns. Age does not matter if they have been taken care of. I have five, one in 410 and the rest in 20 gauge. They are dependable great shotguns.

The faux parkerizing on the "Express" models requires more PM to prevent rust, but mine have been 100% reliable. Easy to modify into home defense shotguns. Big fan of the 870.

We had a 20 gauge youth model with an "English" style stock (no pistol grip) that was terrific, I have no idea why I sold it. Wish I could find another. I'll keep trolling the pawn shops.

I own 5 of the express models
410.
12 gauge
3 20 gauge

all have been excellent shotguns with minimal maintenance. I have not come up with a good reason to get another shotgun other than an 870.

Find the manufacture date here.

I will be listing a 28" vent-rib barrel that is like new (April 2018) in a couple of days when I receive my new 18.5" barrel from Remington, in case any of you 870 afficionados are interested.
