Shot one at range this weekend. Way too much fun. Thinking of getting one but have seen some reviews questioning quality. Any thoughts?

I was checking them out hot and heavy a few weeks ago. They seem well put together and are easier to find now. This one was $520 and had a lot of extras +ammo. Post sum pics up when you get one!

They are well made guns, and lots of fun. If you get one go ahead and get a few extra mags.

Geaux68 has one that I shot and it functioned flawless with bulk Win333. I liked it, but price seems a little high to me. JMO
BTW very accurate at 15meters

My dad had one and it just seemed like a POS im not trying to talk bad about German Sport Guns but they just seem cheap. But the reason the prices are so high on them now is because they are no longer imported because they were sewed by H&K I believe but i may be wrong about who sewed them but i know they were sewed and not being imported.

I thought the GSG-5's with fake suppressors were now illegal?

If you own one of the GSG-5 "SD" carbine versions with larger fake suppressor -- you are in violation of ATF/NFA regulations unless you remove the fake suppressor from the rifle. ATI (the importer) is in the process of acquiring ATF-legal replacements for the fake suppressors originally sold with the "SD" style firearms.

the only ones i noticed at the last gunshow were at world wide firearms booth, think they were 495. These were the gsg guns not the new hk labelled ones.

I thought HK sued GSG about them and they were no longer imported?

The lawsuit stopped importation, what's showing up at gunshows and the like are leftovers. If I remeber right importation stopped in October. I did see in shotgun news recently that the official hk version is out, made by umarex.

Worldwidefirearms just got there last shipment of them they are selling fast so hurry to get one if you are. I personally dont care for it but they are going up in price since more people know about them and want them now since they dont import them anymore.

I've owned a GSG-5 for two years and love it! Operates flawlessly and is very accurate.

The ones I have seen have been good and a friend has one that he loves. They have the cool factor pegged!

Love these little toys! ONLY issue I ever had was when shooting subsonic Aquila in it.... but all other subsonic and regular ammo alike, performed fine. Made well and a blast to shoot!
