Not really too light. I had one years ago it was pleasant to shoot and my wife and son were able to shoot it and did not complain about too much recoil. Son was 13, 5'0 and 130lbs at the time, wife was/is 5'2 with a small statue and not a gun person. I wish I would have kept it instead of trading it off for something else. I say go for it if you find one.
