That's the old style tuperware case but that is a Gen 2 gun. Some Gen 2's came in that style case.

You could put the scope on the Ruger Precision .22 rifle. It would definitely be more "at home" there then on a lever gun.

(The S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman has definitely been "refinished"... otherwise the hammer and trigger would be showing a case hardened "color"... just saying.)

Both of those are very desirable revolvers...

Upon zooming in, the finish and/or metal is really rough just back from the muzzle on the barrel as well as a couple places in front of the trigger guard. And that's just one side. Not sure what the going rate for them is but based on above and non factory finish and depending on how tight the lock up is, I'd for sure have to offer less than asking.
