Ok I'm working over for a week at work so when I get in I've talked the wife into using her free rooms on the coast for the nights of the 15th, 16th, and the 17th. So where are some good places to eat at down there? I'll more than likely hit up Salt Grass Steak House one night, but that will still leave a couple nights and a few lunches to get something to eat.

So what places are well worth the visit to go and try their food?

@Southern Reloading I'll be paying you a visit while I'm on the coast to pick up and pay for the mags and should be getting a lb of Socom powder.

I've got one that I usually do eat at while down there. Its on the beach side about half way to Biloxi.

Anthony’s – Steak and Seafood Restaurant

cant remember the house next to it, but it's all owned by the same family...has a basement bar/live music venue that's nice for a after dinner cocktail. It's in Ocean springs, but it's roughly 15 mins away from where the saltgrass is located.

Then the wife also loves McElroys which is in both Biloxi...next to Beau Rivage, and another one in Ocean Springs...right over the old 98 bridge maybe 12 mins either way from where salt grass is located

for lunch...there was something called the blind eye tiger or some such on the beach....
and at the Palace Casino (CCW friendly, or rather no sign posted)....there is a great bar/restaurant that serves there pool, cant recall the name...but it's also open to the public. You just have to be a guest of the casino to access the pool area

We said at the Palace the last time...huge king rooms...but it's a non-smoking location. Used an Uber or the bellhops to take us everywhere...$5 one way for the bellhops, most expensive uber trip was $8

One of my favorites is steves marina in long beach. Salt grass is another we go to often. May be spelling this one wrong, wentzels was real good but service sucked.

Fancy? Not fancy? Mary Mahoneys is nice-Fancy $$$ but good.
In Gpt proper we like Murkey Waters. Not Fancy reasonable Good
Tony's Brick Oven Pizza Not Fancy reasonable good
Half Shell $$$$$$ not too fancy and gone way down lately Not a recommend!
We love Dempsey's in the Kiln! $$ not fancy good food long ride!
My favorite everyday is Susies on Courthouse! Rather South China! Great fresh food very reasonable priced. We go there often!. OK some others can chime in! We don't like Patio 44.
A lunch place would be the Love Shaq in Woolmarket.
And if you want the infamous coconut pie that has been talked about lately by an old curmudgeon whom we won't mention, you go to Boomtown Casino!

I'll second Steve's Marina. Also, White Cap is pretty good.
Harbor View Cafe in Long Beach.
Lil' Rays in Long Beach and Gulfport
Aunt Jenny's in Ocean Springs if you want to pig out on all you can eat catfish or chicken.
Woody's has a good burger.
Doe's Eat Place in the Golden Nugget for a good steak, but it's pricey.
One of my favorite Po Boys is from the Pirate's Cove in Pass Christian.

No idea about fancy restaurants there but if you want a fantastic pizza......ride down 90 to Ocean Springs,there’s a place called lost pizza. It’s fantastic.
I’ve never had anything from Wentzels that I didn’t like. I love the gumbo at the Mobile location on airport boulevard. My only gripe is that they don’t spoon out enough rice.

I know of a pizza place better than that, small chain out of lousyana called sonnys. Theirs is good enough that i would drive the 168 miles to where dad lives to get one. Not sure where the others are, this one is in st francisville. That is about the only place i eat at in that town.. and there is a lot of good food there.

Bozo's in Pascagoula is great for any meal and is casual and reasonable. They have fresh seafood, great po boys, and nice crab claws. First I’d ever had was in Columbus......pretty good stuff. I’ve had a lot of different chain pizzas but these are about the best in my opinion. I’ll throw rocks at a Pizza Hut or dominos.....

Excellent grilled pineapple margarita's. The Filet mignon is good also.

Wentzels in Biloxi closed several months ago. Now a catfish place but I haven’t tried it yet. Close by on Hwy 90 is Woodies. Great burgers and wings. A bit further east on the beach side of 90 is the Reef (pretty good seafood) and Slap ya mamma (BBQ). IMO casinos are a bit pricey. Half shell oyster house off 90 a block north of Hard Rock casino has great seafood. Recommend the redfish orleans.
