If you do the leg work, you can find deals. I always manage to find a few. I also get a few good laughs at the dealers selling used stuff for full msrp and then some, they are always the ones bitching about not selling anything... wonder why?
Honestly the ones from this promoter are a total crapshoot, sometimes they are great other times they are the worst show of the year. That said i am going anyway, my brother wants to go and i need a few things.
In the distant past I heard there were some "gentlemens agreement" to not be "too competitive".. but I think those days are long past. For the most part they are shop owners trying to make an honest buck. It can go all different directions.. on day one prices are high and not budging.. by the last few hours prices are not so firm....
It can be hard to compare auction prices on a used pawn gun for a gun you can inspect and see the condition. I have compared a gun GB with seeing the gun in person.. its amazing how pictures can be "not representative.
I like to go to the show...its just fun to me... even if that trip I find nothing thats a deal to me. I once proved to a dealer that he had a mislabled part...kinda fun. I have some neat items and once got a pretty good deal on some ammo. Is it gonna beat GB every time no, but its hands on and can be a good time.
